Need some steering confirmation.
Im currently installing the steering column and had to purchase column and brackets seperately. Since I did not unbolt column myself I dont know if its right.
Does the gray bracket look right? Does the column seem in the right position(too high or low)? I have a mustang rack and borgeson joints and shaft. I need to know if this right so I can cut the steering shaft to correct length. I will be elimnating the fire wall brackets as soon as I shave the firewall and will be installing a billet firewall mount. I have heard that you can bring column lower for more arm clearence (or belly). What you guys think? Options 1: Leave at factory position. Option 2: Adjust lower for more clearence. (Please let me know of seconary issues with this modification). Thanks

Re: Need some steering confirmation.
This may give you some ideas. This is how we get the column lower/closer to the dash.

Re: Need some steering confirmation.
There should be a slot in the top of the column that interfaces with a nib on the bottom of the dash bracket to set to distance front to back.
Under hood stuff is right.
