suspension help

Finally putting everything back together on the 67 after building a427 BB to replace the tired 327.this will be a 75% strip 25% street truck.When I originally built it ,it had a 4 1/2-6 drop.I understand this isn't the best setup for weight transfer at the strip.Someone in another thread mentioned using Jeep springs for the rear.Can anyone help me out with what year springs work front and back and what shocks they are using.I want the stance or similar stance that I had,but more concerned with HOOK.Thanks Brian

56 ppl and no one has any ideas of what springs or shocks would provide good weight transfer and hook.I am about to fire it on the weekend and would like to finish the suspension,any help would be great, Thanks Brian

Don't know but the stock stuff works good. I built a friends engine and trans, 406 and turbo 400. Looks like somebody heated the front springs and put some lighter duty coils on the back, he also has air shocks and drag radials.

I don't know how but it is one of the best hooking trucks at the track. 1.49-1.51 60ft times .. He runs 11.27 at 114 when cold outside and 11.44 at 112 when hot.

The best advicec I can offer to you is take it to a scale and come back with a front and rear axle weight. Then find the suspension 101 thread I started to do and answer some questions I have in there for you. I then can tell you what you a spring that will be very close to what you need. But with out that info, no one will honestly be able to help dial you in.

Thanks guys,once I have it fired and on the road I will find a scale.It won't be a record setter,but 475 horse 427 should hopefully put the truck in the low 12s,providing I can get it to hook
