School me on truck covers !
Hey guys, give me your opinions, preferences and experiences with truck covers. For the most part, my shop stays pretty clean, but i'd still like to keep a cover on the truck, mainly for dust control.
I know there are tons of manufactures out there, all claiming to have something the other doesnt. 3, 4, 5 ply ? waterproof ?? Whats fact and what's bull.... ? What's needed and what's not ?? I'm not looking for the cheapest, just something that does the job and protects my paint ! BTW.. Color is Black bc/cc (incase it matters ! )

Re: School me on truck covers !
covercraft shows a few different types of indoor covers.
Form-fit , dust stop, tan flannel. I have only bought the outdoor covers since I have no inside storage.... yet. http://www.covercraft.com/indoor_covers.htm

Re: School me on truck covers !
I bought two of the same ones from Butt Boys and they were nice and soft but they each disintegrated in the sun after only one year. Switched to a silver one off of Ebay and it is great. The cheap one is fine for indoors, though, just make sure it is soft enough that it will not scratch your paint and don't stack anything on top of your truck with the cover on it.

Re: School me on truck covers !
I got the premium 4-layer cover from Classic parts (part# 97-004 $189.95). It is made by Wolf. The cover is real heavy and fits the truck very well. I have no idea how long it will last as I just got it a few months ago and it hasn't rained since I bought it. I realize this this isn't that much help but it seems like a good substantial cover and so far I'm happy with it for the price.

Re: School me on truck covers !
For inside use only I would not pay more than $100 for a cover. Also, for inside use, I don't think it needs to be custom fit, it can be a generic truck cover. No wind to make it flop around.

Re: School me on truck covers !
I have 2 C-10 shortbed covers and a 55 chevy Belair cover all 3are from Califirnia Car Covers . The truck is a # 854 it fits perfect. I remove the antenna instead of putting a hole in it. It is an indoor cover and is called Plushweave. They make several types for indoor or outside. it was around $180.00.
