Look what I saw at the track

So, I went to the track Friday. I got there kinda late, so I didn't get to see it run. Although I am not sure if it did run. There were no numbers on it or anything. It looked like it was trailered and then unloaded just for people to look at. I couldn't find the owner. And the picture is horrible (iphone at night). But I still think you guys will appreciate this.
It was super clean. And super custom. The rear wheels were about 13" wide. I took a couple of other pics, but don't know where they disappeared to.
Anyway enjoy.

Re: Look what I saw at the track

Why would you not lower a 2wd truck? Are you taking it off road? Most of the time they do not go that well with out 4wd. I love 4x4 up in the air and 2wd ride on the ground. And if you like cars and trucks just a little you know that this truck looks killer..

Re: Look what I saw at the track

I saw this same truck in at the Texas Heatwave show in 2008 in Austin. It was before these wheels and stance. it was nice then. Here is a picture of it from Tx Heatwave 2008.

The new wheels/tires and stance put this truck over the top.

Why do people never tire of criticizing others for not having the same backwood train of thought?

Gah…I get so friggin’ tired of those types of comments.

Re: Look what I saw at the track

Yeah, it was a really nice truck. I would have truely loved to see it go down the track. I figured it had been in some mags. And that some of you guys would know more about it.
Totally a different topic. But look at this monstrousity. It was a little further down the line. Again you'll have to use your imagination due to the poor pic.

Now you know I like foxbodies, but this thing looked like one of the Jada Toys cars. It had the thinnest tires I have ever seen. 18"s look too big on foxbodies.

I wasn't being negative, i believe if you like it great! it's your truck do what you want with it.
I just dont understand a truck slammed.
I have a autocross car that is slammed, but I race it, and being low makes sense.
My truck however is not slammed because I use it for hauling things and going off road for work and being higher makes sense.....thats all.

Oh yeah, for sure. I meant that 18"s look too big on foxs. So these 20s (I'm not sure they weren't 22s) look rediculous. They were super wide in the back too. It must've been seriously tubbed. Somebody went through alot of trouble...

Not everyone uses their truck as a truck, or as GM intended it to be used 20-30 years ago.

Those of us who lower our trucks do it for various reasons, I will explain mine, others can add theirs...but I bet they are all pretty close to the same.

1. Improved looks
2. Improved handling
3. Personalization
4. Cheap V8 RWD musclecars don't exist any more (without breaking the bank), trucks are plentiful and cheap
5. Not really a "car" guy, I like trucks better...but I don't want to be stuck with a stock nose-bleed truck because of it.

Just a few reasons, there are more, but like Ken said..if we have to explain, you won't get it.
