This really is getting funny. When I bought my truck, the guy sold it to me as a '64. I look at the registration and it says '64. It has a '65 badge on it. A local guy says it's a '65. I get the "pink" for it today it says built in '64 and 1st sold in '64. I run the VIN on 2 different sites today and one says it's a '61 built in Flint and the other says it's a '61 built in Canada...... I'm not going to lose any sleep over this, but I'd kinda like to know what I have. Should I take the DMV's word on it since they seem to be the most consistant? Is there such a thing as maybe a '64&1/2 that would come with a '65 badge? How do they get the peanut butter in a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup?

Well - you've got two ways to approach this deep mystery:

Start a huge investigation with the Department of Motor Vehicles - igniting a massive chit storm - for no coherent reason, or - just let it go and know that few, if any, component, fastener or anything worth sweating was different from one year to another.

A wise guy once said "If it fits ,it is now stock." After 45 years, parts get interchanged , My 64 has a variety of years and parts on it . I try to keep a notebook of what is been changed and the year/model it is from in case somebody else gets to work on this truck someday. What is the frame number? You should find some recent posts on the locations of frame stamps. it should match the VIN.

Frame stamp located on the top of the frame by the steering box and on the outside of the frame by the back passengerside wheel. I think. As for Canadian Info they were only built in Oshawa.Your tag on the firewall would say General Motors of Canada if it was produced for the Canadian Market. PM me with your VIN# and I'll compare it to the info I have. Is it the O in the serial # that's throughing you off. It's for Oakland Ca. plant.

The peanut butter center is frozen. a little bit of Melted Chocolate is poured into a mold. The frozen Peanut Butter puck cools the chocolate which floats the peanut butter center aloft of the base of the mold.Then a second layer of chocolate fills the remainder of the mold. The mold is cooled and the cup falls onto a conveyor then goes to packaging after receiving a wax coating to enhance the appearance. I think!

Drive it like it's a chevy. If anyone asks tell them it's a 64ish truck. I don't even know what year I was built.

I have Reese's all over my keyboard now. THANKS ALOT

My '06 was built with Ameri-Can-exican parts...lot's of different language all over that truck

I personally wouldn't go with what any government agency says right now. They might want you to turn it in and say goodbye to it forever.
