Does anybody make the spindles and the brackets to use these brakes on our trucks. The brake kit runs $1900.00

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: Z06/ C6 Corvette brakes

Those are the brakes I plan on running on my rig. The plan is to get everything else done, then go back and redo the brakes. 2015, here I come.

Re: Z06/ C6 Corvette brakes

If i remember right i talked to tobin (i think) and i don't think the front was a problem but i thought he said the rear 12bolt brakets werern't done yet. Now that was a little while ago. I hope he got the brackets made because those are the same brakes i want.

Please let us know after you talk to him. Really appreciate it!!!

IIRC, the rears can be done if you do the weld on 9" housing ends & eliminate the c-clips or just use a 9" housing. He said it would be 'a while' before the 12-bolt made it to the R&D stage.

Re: Z06/ C6 Corvette brakes

Get the C4 dropmember or C5 when it's out then put the C6 brakes on the front. Then you have a great suspension to go along with your huge brakes.

the rear brakes are done for the 12 bolt....talked with tobin tonight, and he said that they run 975-1150$ pending on the rotor (drilled, slotted, smooth)

So what does it take to put those on a C4 front and rear? I want that same kit for our 72 Tahoe!

Kevin,
There's a couple of places that make C4 to C5/6 adapter brackets. That should get you where you want to be.

This price is just for the rear right?

Does he sell a kit for the front and rear?

The KORE3 stuff works w/OE style spindles (dropped or stock) that must be permanently modified.

Re: Z06/ C6 Corvette brakes

I'm planning on doing this swap as well, attaining the major components piece by piece (I'm a Chevy parts guy, I can get the parts cheaper through GM) until I have acquired everything needed. Then finishing it off with Kore3 parts. My question is what about a master cylinder and booster? I assume it would be a good idea to stick with at least a Z06 mc but the booster shouldn't matter as it really isn't tied in to the hydraulics any, so long as they work together. Am I right in my thinking?
Also is there anyone that makes the correct bolt pattern axles or will I have to custom drill the axles. Mine is 6 lug and I'm pretty sure the Z06 use a 5x4.75 vs 5x5 of a standard axle. Thanks in advance

The rotors come 5x5 or 5x4.75 pattern. Six lug was not avail previously so you'd have to talk w/the manufacturer on current availability.

Maybe I should have specified, I planned on switching to 5 lug anyways, just wasn't sure how it was all set up.

W/the KORE3 set-up, either pattern is available. I believe other manufacturers now also offer choices on the bolt pattern as well (that's about the only choice though).

Other manufacturers like who? Kore3 is all I've really looked into.

Re: Z06/ C6 Corvette brakes

Yes I plan to make my own for my 96 Impala...
FYI you can order the calipers from ebay for $599 the rotor, brackets and hoses from Kore 3 about about $400.00. Then you machine your current rotor to remove the "hub" out of it, and then have your new rotors re drilled to 5x5 if need but I think they have it already in 5x5. Bolt the it all on hope it fits and test the system. Well thats the plan for my 96 Impala, I have yet to try on a C-10 but I am sure it would be similar.

For the rear I have access to a CNC plasma cutter which I plan to cut out some brackets for the stock rear end. ( again on my 96 Impala)
