Some more progress tonite- tube bending!
I have never bent tube before, wait, I did once with crappy bender and ruined the tube so decided to get good bender and try again. It turned out great if I do say so myself. I also had to double flare and put a nub on one end and turned out acceptable. Thought I would show you all. Connected all fuel lines now and started working to connect all hoses to the radiator, oh BTW I just reinstalled! I included pics! I am about ready to fire this puppy off!

Looks slick, good luck...momentous occasion, good luck! Got a fire extinguisher handy. Wish mine was ready to start up.
I like the way you bent the fuel line closer to , and above, the pump, may have to change mine Wow, no power brakes? Nice hose clamps, didn't know they were available

Tower clamps from Classic Industries and still had some of the original ones in great shape. Thanks all, I was pumped!

Re: Some more progress tonite- tube bending!
bigdon -
Nice job on the bending. I have been following your build and am thoroughly impressed with the quality and attention to detail. One question though - are you concerned with the amount of heat on your fuel line? It looks to be routed very close to the thermostat housing. It seems that this might cause some fuel boiling issues since that housing will be about 180 to 200 degrees while running, and higher once the engine is cut off. |
