Super rare, 15x7 (6-lug) ralley wheels
Here they are,... for the truck owners that thought they didn't exist.
I purchased these 4 wheels this past weekend, at a Springfield, MO swap meet. These are just like the normal 15x8 4x4 truck ralley wheels, (6-lug), except they are only 7" wide. I was trying to find a set for member 72BlckButy to use on the front of his "newly lowered" '69 swb. I couldn't believe it when I walked up and spotted them. Two of them are already spoken for,... but I'm trying to decide if I should keep them or let them go. These are great for you 63-70 guys that switch to disc brakes and want to keep your truck 6-lug up front. These help reduce the added track width of the disc brake conversion. I was so stoked, to actually find some,... I just had to post a pic.

may as well sell him the whole set, he'll have a hard time finding 2 more that have the same size/number of holes.

Nates running 8's on the back and 7's up front to help hide the track width issues of the disc brake conversion,... along with the "narrower" 67-70 rearend.

Re: Super rare, 15x7 (6-lug) ralley wheels
I believe they were on the early to mid 70's 4x4 gmc Jimmys . They are very hard to come by. Most people think they are 15x8's.
If you look at Nates (72BlckButy) "Blank Slate" thread in the 67-72 projects section,... you'll see how far the 15x8 ralleys stick outside the fenders after doing a disc brake swap and lowering the front. I guess I shoulda typed out "little square holes around the parimeter of the hub"... i kinda figured anyone would just take a glance at these wheels and see that they don't ,atch the typical rally wheel. Yours has 10 holes, mine has 16. Verses So, like I said, you may as weell consider selling the whole set to nate so his truck doesn't have mis matched lookin wheels |

Re: Super rare, 15x7 (6-lug) ralley wheels
That`s a fake picture.Those aren`t real!!
Even alot of guys with 71/72s run 7" 5-lug rallyes up front when using drop spindles or to give a big/little look.i`m sure someone would kill for them.

Great find. A needle in a haystack. Keep the other two, they're so hard to find. You never know what the next project will need. OR, sell them to me.

Re: Super rare, 15x7 (6-lug) ralley wheels
Can't you have those built aftermarket. Isn't that the "C" rally? I'm not up on these types but I thought the aftermarket companies can build these in any width you want Like this company....

The rare 7" truck ralleys have less width & still work on the discs while matching the easy to find 6-lug 4x4 8" ralleys.

Hey Keith,
If you can't find anyone to take those off your hands, let me know. I think the wife and I are due for another road trip. I think we'll even bring something to drink this time instead of drinking all of yours. Last edited by stealthy '69; 08-24-2009 at 06:45 PM. |

Well, you got me. I walked right by them without noticing. Though, I did pick up some great truck parts, and kick myself for not buying those NOS Rocker Panels for $75 at 7:30 am. Trevor

Re: Super rare, 15x7 (6-lug) ralley wheels
Just a head's up - I just got off the phone with Stockton Wheel and they'll make you a 15x7 wheel for around $100. But you'll need to supply them with the center section of the original wheel.

Re: Super rare, 15x7 (6-lug) ralley wheels
When I bought the property I live on I found one of these in an old barn. I saved it but had little hope of finding another one. A few months later a buddy of mine called me saying he got jipped on a set of 6 lug ralleys. He said one of them didn't match. I knew it was too good to be true but I threw an extra 8" ralley I had in my truck and headed to his house. Sure enough he had gotten a 7" and three 8s. He was glad to trade with me!!! I left his house and bought a lottery ticket. I didn't win any money but I got the mate to my 7" ralley so I was tickled to death

I can't believe you found FOUR that quick!
You guys have me searching for them too, I was at a swap meet this weekend and had those in the back of my mind.
