Header questions
Anybody know what size primaries the Dynomax cerama coated headers have?. I was also looking at Cerama coated Flow Techs by Holley. These are 1 1/2" primaries. Will I notice any performance change going from Hooker Super Comps to either of these other brands/sizes?. Mine still work but the ceramic coating is all gone now that they are old.

Just checked Summit's site and found out Dynomax are also 1 1/2" primaries. I'm pretty sure mine are 1 5/8".

The Hookers are good headers, but a little pricey. I have a set of Comps on the 69(1 5/8 tube,2 1/2 collector). the comps are 16 guage tubing, vs 18 guage on the super comps. I think the super comps can be had in a 1 5/8'or 1 3/4 " tube for the SB. I didnt opt for the coated headers, a little time with the sandblaster & some BBQ grill paint......& Im good for 2 seasons. I dont run more than 1500- 2000 mi per yr tho......& never wet(dont have any door glass to roll up!) For street bound, 350- 383 IMHO, 1 5/8 is big enough on the primarys........crazyL

Crazy,
My question is will I notice a performance loss if I go back down to 1 1/2"?. Thanks

you might trade off a little upstairs, & gain a little more tork in the low range.....thats not all bad on a street driven truck tho....

Thanks crazy longhorn!. I want the torque down low anyway. I think I'm going with the Comp XE262 cam.
