Re: A few more pics

Leaning towards restore or slight mod. Have a 305 with tranny I have been saving for something. Hey does anyone know what the brackets in second pick hanging from top are for? Didn't know if they were factory or add on.

Re: A few more pics

My friend that owned your Blazer had it running and it was driveable about 4 year ago. He bought a 71 GMC 2wd Jimmy from me so he was going to use it for parts. He starting taking parts off of it for other project. He removed the 6 cly head and used it on a 4x4 short bed truck he had. He sold the drivers door. It ended up in a field behide his house the last 4years. He then sold it and 4 other parts trucks to the guy you bought it off of. The guy you got it from removed the rear end.

Re: A few more pics

I think it is originally from Ca. Check the glove box sticker see if it has Z in the vin# that means it was built at the Fremont Ca. plant. I could be wrong, but that is what I remember.

Re: A few more pics

Thanks I will look tomorrow. Have you ever seen brackets hanging from roof like this one? They appear almost factory.

Re: A few more pics

He never put it in his name. Yes he did buy it from a guy in Apex. I know because I found it and showed it to him. I didn't have the money to buy it at the time. The guy still lives in Apex. Went by his house last weekend. He has a couple of old muscle car in his back yard. He has a old 442 convertible I like to get my hands on.

Re: A few more pics

It had a roof rack on it too. If you look I think you will find holes in the top. They may have caulk in them now.

Well I was second in line for it. Said a guy from Tenn called and told him to hold it then never got back with him. I know you know what he was asking for it. Not to brag but he let me have it for just north of half of that. I figured top and carrier were worth that.

Roof rack still there.Check other posting you can see in pics.

Re: A few more pics

I'm glad to see some one get it and do something with it. It was rusting into the ground in his backyard. I wanted it for the the bedsides, frame and title. I was thinking of using the bedsides on the one I just sold. I was going to use the frame and title and put my Jimmy body on it. It's all timing. I'm always a day late and a dollar short.

NOW I am a dollar short. Always wanted a 2 wheel drive, just didn't know I was going to run across one. I know this one needs a lot of work but what else do I have to do with 2 out of 3 children in college now?
