well guys, shes gone...

Im moving and through some serious thinking im selling my truck to a close friend. hes gonna build her, i made him promise me not to part it. my mom and sister chipped in a about 5 years ago to buy me this truck for christmas so i couldent let it go to a stranger and let god knows what happen to it, also this way i can still post project pics as he builds it, since i will be the one he calls to come help and hang out. . only thing is when we get together to do something it seems like we work on it for a few minutes and then get preoccupied and get nothing done... lol But i am on the look out for a swb step bbw truck to buy. engine and trans wont matter because thats where my money will go. im gonna build me a hot rod truck. thats part of the reason im sellin mine is i realised i wouldent be happy with the finished project being a lwb sbw. if im gonna put that much money into something i want it to be what i REALLY want. does that make sense? i will add a 9 inch, 4-link, and i think im gonna go with an ifs front suspension setup. i wanted to see if yall had any recommendations on what front suspension to go with?

just so yall know i have no intentions of leaving you guys. i will always have a 60-66 truck because they are the best trucks in the world. and i thank everyone on here for all the help and info. and i promise to become a site supporter within the next few months, my life seems to be leveling out for the first time!!!! knock on wood...

John

Are you sure you won't just shorten the frame and keep your present truck ? It might mean a lot to your sis and mother since they bought it for you.

I really don't see any reason not to use the IFS that came under these trucks, just update to discs (from a '73-up) and call it good

good luck on the hunt!
