New member - from Canada
Hi All!
New member from Alberta and BC checking in..... I work in Alberta, but the truck and shop are in BC.... I guess that means I will be putting on a lot of miles to get to my project! I have had a gaggle of trucks, but have hung onto the first.... Back in 1985 at the tender age of 15 I spotted a 1965 LWB SBW 2wd.... it had a blown 3spd and a 230 six..... an orginal Cali truck up here in BC..... I parted with $300 and brought it home with my dad in high gear only! I drove the truck for the first half of my junior year and high school and moved on to countless other vehicles, blew up the 6, threw in a 283 from a donor truck, repaired the tranny a few times..... The truck parked in 1988, came out for a few months in 1991, and has been sitting in the shop ever since..... and now that I have cleared my plate of projects it is at the top of the list! My plans are to convert to 4wd, modern diesel (have a line on an LLY with Allison and 241 with low miles, have the rear Dana 60, convert to fron Dana 60, mild lift and 35's..... not an off roader but a great driver! I will be starting a build thread for all of this, should be about a 2 year project.... thanks in advance for all of the help you guys will be! Gord |
