A different gas tank..
hey guys, i am taking the saddle bag style gas tanks off my 83, and im needing a new one to go in the rear, between the frame rails. is there a prefered year/model tank that works better then the rest?

Blazer tanks fit in the rear if I remember correctly.

the way i understand it any 73-87 pickup style works.. it does however leave you to find a new place to hide the spare tire and its not any safer than the side tanks

If you are still planning to lay frame, a Blazer tank will probably hang to low.
If I remember correctly, there are two sizes of Blazer tanks. I believe the larger tank was available in 4wds. You will need to verify that and go with the smaller tank.

you can also get a custom aluminum tank to go back there..if you have the coin

well i plan on rasing the bed floor, so it would have quite a bit of room back there
