Don't know exactly what year it was, but I know its earlier than a 67, but thought it was worth a 2nd look.

It does not look like he runs a hood so why the wierd scoop deal?

Very nice looking truck!
But the aircleaner set up reminds me of all the air ducting I am doing right now in my attic...

My thoughts too.
The whole engine looks good and I can even go with the Demon Carbs and the long tubes, but that Air Cleaner looks out of place AND the worng color!

from the looks of the folded seam at the very front of the "riser" tube, its made of HVAC ductwork tube from a home supply store, my vote for cheezy...

Is it a gutted muffler? I'd scrap everything above the carbs. Thanks for posting though.

With that plug screwed to the front of the air box, I wonder where the air enters at.

Looks like a mesh screen not a plug. Maybe he isnt done with the hood yet and that is why it isnt on the truck.

That's a '66 grill in it. It was the first year GMC switched to the squared off lettering with the red inserts.

The first one is a 4-5-6 GMC and the 2nd one is a '65 Chevy.
