TF bear claw kit
Just saw this and thought I would share. These guys made a kit for the Task Force trucks to put bear claw latches in. Looks a little high.
http://www.triquemfg.com/ael.html Here is the install at Webrodder. http://webrodder.com/article.php?AID=539&SID=60

Re: TF bear claw kit
This looks like the easier way to go. I didn't like the pillar bolt out so far but you may not have a choice in that.

You can buy a double jaw bear claw latches and the install panles for $100.00 copmlete we have them in stock. On your door jamb on the cab you can smooth that out completely and install the striker that comes with our kit this way looks alot cleaner. On your door jamb you will smooth that out as well we have installion kits you will weld into the door jambs that will secure the new bear claw. Total kit price is $100.00 and shipping is $18.00 to you have them in stock We also have power door kits in stock with keyless remotes as well Justin scotts hotrods |

ever say the product was to high or not worth the money to spend. No we did not we were showing another bearclaw kit we have been using for years in our shop. The Kit we are showing might not be for everybody, this is just a kit that will give your truck jambs that nice clean smooth look once all is painted. Justin www.scottshotrods.com |

Re: TF bear claw kit
Given the fact that you were responding to a post in which someone made a comment about the price of the kit being a little high and you were doing so with the inclusion of the price of your latches I was left to assume you were offering a less expensive alternative. If this was not the case then I apologize. I was never trying to stir trouble, I just wanted the facts to be present. The install you showed in the pictures above looks very nice, but the cost versus the Altman Easy Latch Kit I'm certain is much greater. Once again, my intent was not too offend. If I did so I am sorry. I stand by what I said earlier, you guys seem to do some awesome work and I wish you continued success.

Re: TF bear claw kit
I will get some pictures up on our website as soon as I can. I can tell you it comes with a pair of vehicle specific bear claw latches, all necessary hardware, striker plates, stainless steel striker bolts, and the long panel that you see painted blue in the picture. And of course it also comes with all instructions, installation pictures, and templates. Everything you need to accomplish what you see in this picture (minus paint ) is included.
