WTB: 88-98 rear end with 3.42 ratio (RPO GU6)
As title says, looking for an 88-98 rear end with 3.42 ratio (RPO GU6) from a 2wd. Hopefully close to Colorado, Wyoming, maybe western Kansas and Nebraska, northern New Mexico, etc......

Good luck!
I searched for weeks to find a rear end for my 88. Finally found a front and rear set in 3.73 that had been rebuilt and swapped the whole deal.

There are dozens of them around here, I just don't want to pay bone yard prices. There is one about 15 minutes away for $275, that's not too bad. I just found one on CL in Aurora for $175, so I may go get that one this weekend if it's still there. But I'll keep looking until I have one in my possession!

The width.
One thing I have always disliked about the era trucks is that the rear track width is a little narrower than the front, it looks off and I think it effects the handling. The 88-98 are wider and look like they were meant to be under our trucks. Take a look at nlped's truck, he has one of these rears under his. It looks more "correct" to me.
