Radiator question
New to the inline 6 engines so I'm sure this is a basic question for you experts. I have a 292 I'm getting ready to install and try to fire up. The radiator that came with the engine (which all were out of the truck) is a single core. What is the normal size radiator for a 292? I figure the seller just threw this one in with all the other parts.
Thanks in advance. |

Re: Radiator question
I am not sure what size radiator came with a 292, but when we put my truck together with a l6 250 we used a 2 core radiator.
The transmission that is behind the l6 250 is a compound 4 speed. Danny

Re: Radiator question
2 core is what I thought, but figured I'd ask anyway.

Re: Radiator question
I'd recommend using a 2core at least.

Re: Radiator question
a one row should be fine, but a 2 row would defenatly do the job.
For the record, the core is the whole rad minus the upper and lower tanks. The # of tubes run parralel to each other are called rows. |
