4x4 rear springs
Question#1: Does anyone have any information on changing the spring hangers on the back of a 1972 K2500? I've heard you can turn them over. What does this accomplish?
Question #2: The frame on the back of my newest project does not appear to have the holes for a fuel tank relocation. Is it possible for someone to give me a fairly detailed picture of where the tank is located without the bed on? Thanks, JJ

Just as stated above the shakle flip gives you 4" of lift. You can eather buy it or you can cut your hangers and reinstall the shackle upside down. I don't know about the gas tank relocation kits but I did mine with a 80's something blazer tank and as far as I know it is pretty much a custom job. If it helps i do know that i had to take out the spare tire x-member and I moved my rear x-member back about 2 1/2" then welded in some new pieces and got a strap kit from napa. I think in every thing I had about $50 in it not including the steel which I had laying around. If someone can resize the pics for me I have a couple of after it was all fabed up.

Check out www.offroaddesign.com they make the shackle flip kits and the quality is great. My buddy has them on his longbed GMC and I plan on using them on my burb. It gives 4" of lift and you can use the stock springs without lift blocks and it's cheaper than new springs. Also the have U-bolt flip kits, Xfer case kits and.....
However we found you need to shim the rear diff to bring the pinion angle back in line to avoid vibration. Hope this helps!

If you do the flip kit make sure you get the relocator shim because if not you axel wont be in the center of the wheel well.
