Painted my Rally's...Opinions Wanted
Just painted the rally rims on my 66. Going for the drag truck/push truck/hotrod truck look. I want opinions...good or bad. No worries about warnings from the mods. Don't hold back. GF sez they're fugly. Should I stay with yellow, or go white, or dark gray? Should I go with the trim rings...and/or rally caps...or necked? BTW, the front end is up cause the engine was pulled to rebuild. What say you...
After. Before

I like the gray on gray also. If you're looking for a contrast go white.

Re: Painted my Rally's...Opinions Wanted
That color is definitly a attention getter!!! WOW, I think I would have stuck with the gray or something a little less bright. What it all boils down to is what you like cause your driving it. I do like the eyeballs.

Re: Painted my Rally's...Opinions Wanted
I would shoot for something different due to the color of your truck. No harm in trying something on for size.

Re: Painted my Rally's...Opinions Wanted
Put them back the way it was. I don't mind the different colors (I had red ralleys on a satin blk Camino years ago), but that color just doesn't work for me.

Re: Painted my Rally's...Opinions Wanted
If what you're after is a bit of contrast and more of a performance look, I think painting the rims a color of white that matches the top would look good. Certainly silver or gray is more conventional and mainstream, and looks fancier with the trim rings. Personally I like the Mooneyes and the nose high stance. Looks like 60's performance.

Re: Painted my Rally's...Opinions Wanted
IMO it looked better before, to me it's the shade of yellow that makes me want to retch, at least a center cap and beauty ring would lessen the impact to the eyes. If you just want to be noticed try a glow in the dark color with black lighting under the fenders. At least a beauty ring would help break up the color distortion. But I'm an old coot so who's to say, IMO my daughter's boyfriend looks like he fell face first into a tackel box but she likes it.

Re: Painted my Rally's...Opinions Wanted
I'm partial to gray also.....that's what mine are. The yellow might work if your truck was a different color and you put the center caps and rings on them.

Re: Painted my Rally's...Opinions Wanted
Well the gray looks good but you need to post a pic of the yellow with the center cap and rings on i think that will break it up real good and may look allot better sweet truck by the way!

Re: Painted my Rally's...Opinions Wanted
I totally get what you're after & suggest you put the trim rings and center caps on it. Like others have said it will break up the yowza effect of the yellow. Should look killer!

Re: Painted my Rally's...Opinions Wanted
I like the yellow with the eyeballs!! Looks great! Would look even better with trim rings and caps. Would tone it down just right. Rock the yeller ... Showed my old man, he says yellow if that helps.
