compressor wiring

wondering if most people here have their compressor(s) wired to an acc. on with the ignition or a toggle from the battery

toggle with a relay.....compressors draw alot of power so I wouldn't run it long with out the truck running.....If I remeber each one draws like 13 amps

Mine is on with the key through a relay. Def do not let it run long with out the motor running. It will strain the system quickly.

I know its pretty straight forward, but does anyone have a pic of their toggle and how they ran their wires to the relay?

At first mines was energized once the ignition turns on, but I didnt like that the compressors would turn on right away, so i put a toggle switch.

Kev, dont have a pic, but i could get one later on. Or maybe someone will beat me to it.

thanks. that's a great diagram. I used suicide doors how to's to get my fittings and valve setup. I was wondering where/how you would mount it?
