Column too short!!!!!
I picked up a tilt column from a chev van a while back and when I went for a test fit it is about 15 inches too short! WTF? This is for my 69 stepside. Is there a piece I can add or do I need a different column? HELP please

x2
It was just talked about in another post, http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=368711 It shows pics of the two column styles, the early "fixed" shaft and the later intermediate shaft. You'll need that and modify it to fit.

Re: Column too short!!!!!
I think in the van, it doesn't use an intermediate shaft. On the trucks they did and I think '69 was when they started the individual shaft, unlike the '68 and earlier.
As for one, don't have one but need to get one myself.
