Bed cutting question.
In most of the threads I've seen on here where someone is cutting their bed down from long to short they all seem to be using a small square type of clamp that holds both bed pieces together. What is this clamp and where would I find them? I am planing on cutting my bed down in the future and would like to have all the needed hardware in advance. Any info. would be great, thanks Shawn

Re: Bed cutting question.
Reading the term "buttwelding clamps" immediately transported me to those days where my buddies and I would watch Beavis and Butthead and drink bear all day long and still not get enough of either.

Re: Bed cutting question.
Kevin,
When you are cutting down a bed floor, do you weld the top or bottom side or both? How much time would you estimate it takes to weld the bed floor and grind it. I know you are a lot faster than most but in talking to a local welder, he had no idea how long it would take and would only give me an estimate of time and materials. Thanks. Joel |
