Re: DirtyLarry
Oh, yes….It made it. The picture is the same one as my avitar.
I knew it was coming as I received a phone call from them a while back but didn’t know it was actually coming in this month’s issue. Not to let the cat out of the bag but.....there could be more coming soon! A feature! I was also contacted by a company called "In The News" where they sell you a nice framed wall plaque with the readers rides picture superimposed onto the cover of the mag. When it shows up I'll try to scan a picture of it. These guys are pretty much out to make a buck from people that get their pictures in news papers, periodicals, etc. It is pretty much a sham but what the heck...you don't get your rig in a mag every day. I certainly didn't plan on blowing $177 when I sent in the pictures to Readers Rides though...

Re: DirtyLarry
Congratulations Larry! I saw it in there yesterday and didn't get a chance to post. You are too young to be famous!

Re: DirtyLarry
Thanks John!
Come to think of it, somehow I got lucky twice, as my little GMC made it to Sport Truck magazine back in March 1997 as well but only as little black and white picture. The funny thing is 16 years later the truck looks identical and probably has less than a 1,000 miles on it since then. Kinda lost interest in it for now. It just takes up space in the corner of the shop while I spend all my play money on big blue.

Re: DirtyLarry
Thanks Tim!
No, no….It did NOT actually make the cover. That is just the wall plaque that the “In The News” people sold me where they superimpose the picture onto the cover. They are basically ambulance chasers and hunt down people that made their way into magazines or main stream news papers so they can sell them nice framed plaques with their stories or pictures. I fell for their sham. The damn plaque cost $177 bucks. Aparently Peterson's provides RR details to them so they can sell their plaques. I am sure Peterson's gets a kick back somehow. Check’em out. http://www.inthenewsonline.com/

Re: DirtyLarry
O I C .I guess I just have to get my own magazine so I can see if your right .
That outfit is like the ones who hover over your place in a helicopter, snap a picture, and bring it by your house to sell it to you.I caved in like you.Stuff like this bugs me,but i went with it for my own reason. My boy was about 4 and you can see that he came out from under the tree with the swing and where our dog hangs out (he spent alot of time in that area) to see what was up.His little self is standing out from under the tree with his hand up over his eyes like a visor wondering what that dang chopper`s up to over his house. That sold me right there.I could care less about the house. That`s my little man right there.
