I was wondering if there is a certain location for the 4x4 operating instruction sticker for certain years. I saw Randy, Teeitup, has a 68 K20 with it on the roof. I saw another member on here has a very, very nice 72 with it on the glove box door. Did they have a designated spot, or was it an installer choice thing?

I had a truck that had one on the roof where the rear view mirror would be. I don't remember what year that one was. My 70 and 71 have it on the outside of the glovebox door, and my 69 is on the INSIDE of the glove box door. Not sure how they got placed to be "correct"...

You can either put them on the ceiling directly center of the rear view mirror draped over the factory headliner indention, or on you glovebox door on the left hand side, unless you are putting the lockout hub sticker on, which normally goes on the left side and the other shift pattern on the right side. Ok, thanks for the info guys. I was just curious more than anything. Neither of my trucks will be restored to OE standards. But I might try to keep one semi close and thought it would be a good idea to check it out.

Eric, in the years I have been into the truck scene, I have never seen or heard of anyone having one inside the glovebox door like the one you had/have. Trevor

Here is the door off my 69. Only one i have ever seen like this. Truck appeard quite original and had been parked since the 80s so i assume this is original.

I`ve seen them on the heater.I believe they came loose to the dealers in a packet and was art of dealer prep.Only a couple of all the K-models I`ve had even had the stickers.

Here is the placement of the one that was in my 69 K20 - right between the visors - this is for the Rockwell T221

And here is a decal that was on my glove box

Lastly, not exactly on topic, but it has a sticker for the NoSpin (Detroit Locker) that is located behind the drivers side of the seat
