Hello from Calgary Canada
Hello
I would like to introduce myself and my truck. I may be new to this forum but I am not a stranger to these trucks as I have owned and restored several in my life time. However out of all of them I have a soft spot in my heart for the 67 to 72 model year GMs, so when I saw this one I just had to buy it. It is a 1972 GMC Super Custom 1500 with 73,000 original miles and a numbers matching 402 BB with TH 400 tranny. It has a factory Tach and the PO had installed a OEM Tilt steering wheel and High Energy Ignition. The seat and interior are original and in excellent shape. I also beleive it has its original Hawaiian Blue / White Western two tone paint. The Vehicle is in excellent shape considering it has spent its entire life here in Alberta. I thank the previous owners for taking such good care of this old girl. Although not all is perfect it does have some rust issues in the cab corners, cab supports, minor dings in body, and the wood box floor is rotted. My short term plans are to drive (dry roads only) and enjoy the truck as is. After all they are only original once. As I am a sucker for originality my longer term plans are to keep it as original as possible with repairs to the body, and all new paint. The only customization I would like to do is replace the rotted wood box floor with varnished Oak and polished SS skid strips and install the 15 x 8 rally rims that came with it. My welding and wood working hobbies will come in handy for fixing the rust and the box floor. I will leave the interior alone as I love the patina and smell of this old cab. I think this site is great and I look forward to chatting with you all.

Here are a couple of more pictures, of the bad and ugly. Just in case you thought this was a perfect truck.
