New guy from Austin
Hello Everyone! I have been lurking around the forums for a while now and I have very been very impressed with the trucks and the amount of useful info.
I recently purchase a 64 C10 Short BBW and I am gearing up to get the project going. The truck was completely taken apart by the previous owner and this is how I got it. I have some pictures from the PO I have attached. The previous owner told me that the person before him had swapped the front and rear suspension out of a burb. I saw a burb the other day with the same alum wheels that are on my 64.......I am not sure what year burb. The truck has no engine or trans but I am cool with that since I wanted to do my own thing anyway. There is some rust in places but overall (I am keeping my fingers crossed) I have seen worse. The rust issue that is going to take some work is the roof skin and the areas above the windshield and area over the back window. The PO very carefully removed the outer roof skin to reveal some of the rust that needs attention. I guess that is the major details of my truck I just wanted to say hello and a little about my new project. I have always loved these trucks and wanted one.......and I finally found one. Once again greetings from Austin |
