SPID for a 66?

I am going this weekend to look at a 66 C30 and I was wondering if these years had SPID's. I did the site search but it kept pulling up SPID stuff for the 67-72 crowd.

If it looks good and the price is right I will post up pics to show off the new addition.

Re: SPID for a 66?

If you are lucky you will find the build sheet behind the seat springs, when you fold the seat to look at the gas tank.
I have 13 60-66's and only 2 had the build sheet still in them....
my 61 gmc 4000 (2.5 ton?) has a plaque on the glove box door that says what engine tranny and rear it has, with all the ratios.

also I think in 66 they might have started putting them in the glovebox door, like the 67-87 had...
lilred66 did a post about this once, try searching "build sheet", or look at his threads

Re: SPID for a 66?

SPID's were available in the '66 Chevy trucks. I have a few with them, as well as, the factory build sheet between the seats springs and the burlap, usually behind the driver side, but I have a few with the build sheet behind the passenger side seat back.

Here is a link to a fellow on the site that does them.

Quite impressive and for the money a great touch to a stocker, daily or show stopper.
