Anybody running a mustang II front end on a square body?

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

nothing in particular. I have seen Filmguys on his 72. I will possibly purchase an 82 short wide tomorrow and i was just trying to develop a plan. I dont want to be as low as filmguys but i do want proper geometry, so bagging stock suspension is out of the question. porterbuilt is to expspensive right now. I think im going to do 20's front 22's rear. Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated. i dont want a full blown ground pounder, corner carver, but i want excellent handling.

What kit are you looking @ that makes PB's Dropmember 'too expensive' in comparison? I know FilmGuy & he's mentioned on more than one occassion.... if he had it to do over, he would do a bolt-in DM before he would do the bolt-in MII again. There was a bunch of extra work to get the ride height & geometry where he wanted it.

It will only be on the ground if you set it up for that. Think of it from a different perspective.... it's an additional 3" of ground clearance & better geometry @ a lowered ride height. He was working on a coil-over application (other than the current C4 set-up). Might be worth contacting him to see where he's @ on the design/production status.

If you are looking for a MII I would say that we can definitely help, although ours isn't a Mustang II. The problem with going the Mustang II route is everything from geometry issues to tracking down all the individual parts you need to make it work.

As far as pricing goes, right now we our doing a complete front end hub to hub for $1995. That's over $400 off retail for you guys and no other parts to go out and look for separately.

As far as ride height and geometry goes, you definitely don't want to mess with a MII if you are looking to do it right the first time.

Here's what's included

With the standard coilover or airbag set up you will get the following;

-2"x4"x3/16" wall crossmember 100% TIG welded

-1"-1/8"x1/4" wall tubular a-arms

-Billet Stainless CNC Machined adjustable rod ends

-Ball Joints

-11" vented rotors with 5x4.5 or 5x4.75 bolt pattern

-single piston GM calipers

-all bearings dust caps and seals

-2" drop or standard height spindles

-Aldan American adjustable coilovers or Slam Specialties bags and shocks.

-chrome manual rack & pinion complete with inner and outer tie rods AND rack extensions.

-ALL Bolts, Brackets, and Hardware

When you get our ifs you don't have to go anywhere else for support parts like ball joints, brakes, spindles, etc. EVERYTHING is included or available.

We can do 5x5 bolt pattern for an additional $290.

As far as ride height goes, we will set it up where ever you want. These are not off the shelf units. They are ALL built to spec.

I know there are several guys on here with our system and all are very happy. Let me know if you have any specific questions about our ifs.
