Need help with 5.3 and 4l60e swap!

I will gladly pay anyone for a list of parts needed to make this swap, i have the computor, wire harness all the bolt ons like a/c, alternator, tranny computor everything, i have been tryng to read through all these builds and just get more confused as i go can someone get me a list of the speedo adaptor, the motor mounts, the fuel set up for duel tanks the little adaptor to make the a/c work and cruise control..i know i need to send off the wire harness to someone to rework and reprogram the computor, anyone know where i can get this list, thank you allvery much for your time...

I know its confusing to keep reading but don't forget each build had something different you will learn and you might face thru your swap.
Keep in mind that more you know the cheaper and better and more efficient your swap will be.

It depends on the ur build i kept finding out that i needed different stuff in middle of my project

I got my engine mount, A/C compressor & bracket conversion from Speed & Performance ( Check my project in the sig )

I know that you need to cut some of the frame to install the Stock A/C compressor. This is a link of a thread with 5.3 hope it helps

This is where i sent my harness it will be a standalone harness.I tuning my ecm locally but I've seen on there website that they tune but don't know anything about it.

there's a TON of info in these links. everything from part #'s to different ideas. what's worked and what doesnt.

alot depends on what you wanna spend too. if it were me i'd start with the basics 1st. like what mounts are you going to go with? and then move to fuel system. for the duel tank set-up there's pretty much just a standard set-up. not many variables. if you have specific questions let us know! goodluck man! you can also send the wiring and computer to wait 4 me performance.com they will modify the harness and program the computer for $320.

when you get ready to drop in the new engine IF running stock exhaust manifolds remove them, after the new engine has been mounted and bolted down install the manifolds and you will have to grind about 1/4" on the passenger side to clear the chassi, by now you know you wont be able to clear the A/C so remove it or get a relocating kit, personally I would not notch the chassi.

Can we run long tube headers on this motor in this truck?

I have decided to go with a suburban gas tank or one the will fit in between the rear frame where the spare is now, that way i only needn1 fuel pump,

yes you can run headers as long as their design for a truck, if you try and put in like camra headers and such they wont clear.

Gas tank, yeah its fine if you only run 1. Thats what i did on mine only ran 1 tank

Thats awsome, i cant wait to get started this is the first time i have ever attempted to do anything like this, i'm really ignorant about this stuff but i have always wanted to tinker w cars, i just usaully let someone else do it, right now i do not have room at my house to do it so i have the truck at an old friends house and i am helping him convert an old building from a junk stasher into a garage, i got all the junk out of it last weekend and now im putting a brick foundation under it getting ready to cut the floor joists out and reinforce the walls so i can get the truck inside out of the elements and start tearing it down, it sucks not being able to do anything w it yet but i have to get his place organized before i have any room to do it, this guy is a hoarder like you see on those shows, i have taken out 3 truck loads of trash and scraped alot of crap and still barly made a dent, gotta love him though, he is a super nice guy, i should take some pics of all this it would of been funny to show those trucks full of crap and him still trying to pull little BS off the truck and saying i might need this(it would be a little bent, rusted shut piece of something that he said he could clean up and use) like the 20 some old shovel heads w no handels and 50 old broken weed eaters, stuff like that he would throw it off and i would put it back under the pile when he went in for a cup of coffe, i kept telling him, to put it on a list, if he really needed a shovel i would go buy him a new one, all this crap he was going to get around to fixing someday..he has a 51 buick special, an old nova a 69 mustang coupe, some othe crap that were always going to be rebuilt he would start on one then stop then tear it down..i gues s i should stop rambling, i am just in a mood i guess, thanks for the advice friends...
