Re: need some advice
Looks to be a solid truck. The main thing to look for is rust. The rockers and cab corners rust is common. Make sure the cab supports are solid and not rotted out. Also ckeck for any frame damage from a previous wreck.

Re: need some advice
I would work him down to $1,500 since the body is rough. Also, make sure he has all the proper paperwork and that the VIN on the truck matches the paperwork. Also, check for DMV back fees/penalties, etc. Check for Bondo, too, I think I see plenty of it.

The pictures are so big I can't really get a good look at it but from what I can see I would pass if I were you... I'm not sure about your area but there are a lot of nice trucks in Washington state. I think you can get a nicer one for that kind of money. Maybe some of the WA staters will chime in here. LockDoc

Re: need some advice
thanks for all the replies guys. The reason I'm jumping towards this one is because in southern washington this body style is 95% 2wd, and these are hard to come by. if anyone is selling in my area, just mention it to me. i'm in the $2300 price range

Re: need some advice
Might depend on what your end goal is. If you plan to restore it, I'd look elsewhere. I didn't see a straight panel on that truck. But if you have a different use for it and it runs/drives good then $1500 doesn't sound too bad.

Re: need some advice
I would have to agree with these guys.
$1500 would be TOPS to offer him, as it looks to be a little on the rough side. Good Luck.
