N00b...

Looking to be a Chevy owner once again pretty soon, if the stars line up in a couple weeks.

I bought my first Chevy in 1997, a 96 silverado. I had it for a few years, until it was totaled in a collision with an 18 wheeler.
Note to self, never Tango with a Volvo 18-wheeler...

Next, I had a 67 bone stock Camaro Coupe, with a 250 3 on the tree, armstrong everything, and 65mph air conditioning.
Owned it a year, then later sold it when I got a divorce.

Now I may be picking up a 72 LWB C-10, soon.

It'll be a driveable project.
It currently has a 250 with 3 on the floor (someone stuck in an aftermarket floor shifter), but was originally 3 on the tree.
I like to tinker, and have been wanting to get a new project since the last ground up restoration of a sportbike I bought.
From this:

To this:

Sort of an empty nest syndrome, if you will...
I've been bouncing several scenarios around, like maybe maxing out the 250's capabilities, with maybe an overdrive transmission after it, for decent mileage.
Current owner is claiming 21mpg.
Or, like so many have done, a 5300 swap out, same mileage, but many more ponies...

Lots to think about, but for now I'm going to be building a clean place to keep and work on it.

I've lurked here the past few days, and have thoroughly enjoyed the stories, tech info, and writeups that have been done on various projects.
I can't wait to add some of my own.
Let the fun begin!
