Re: Window tint removal
this is how i did mine, found in edge in the tint that lift up and rip then riped it all off, it will leave behind a film. to take the film off use some windex and a xacto blade and just scrape away it wont scratch the glass then when its all of get you some triple 000 stell wool and go over the window they will look brand new, check mine out i did the door glass.

Re: Window tint removal
On a hot sunny day take wet newspaper and stick it to the old tint. The ammonia and moisture will help but you'll still be left with good ole fashioned scraping.

Thanks N2TRUX. I finally broke my cherry after lurking around the site a few years.

Re: Window tint removal
The best way is to saturate the tint on a warm day and place a black plastic trash bag over the tint and let it sit for about 30 min or so. It should peel right off with no problems or if you have a tint shop near you, ask them if they would give you some of their tint remover. It works great and actually pulls the glue off in small jell pools and not the sticky mess you get when you use dish soap and water or windex.

Re: Window tint removal
I used a heat gun and 3M Citrus cleaner. Then cleaned the window with Zep 40 glass cleaner.

Re: Window tint removal
I used 409 and some heat, worked well, but you will need some good razor blades and something to hold them comfortably. Good luck!
