how do ?

how on earth do coil spacers work? im looking to do a 3 inch coil spacer on my truck and i have no idea how they work... i know what they do but does anyone have pics of them installed?

they slide between the springs and it kinda stretches out the spring i guess you could say. my friend had some on his accord when he put 20's on it. they were only 1" but it did raise it up a little to clear the tires

If it's a 3" coil spacer than it is probably just a block that goes in between the spring and the upper spring pocket. See pic #1.

They also make twist in spacers that go betwen the coils of the spring itself. They are generally known for making the ride a little harsh and are prone to failure. See pic #2.

i think your right. the twist in ones was only an inch, the 3" block makes more sense to install in between the spring and spring pocket
