1959 gmc one ton
I have a rare 1959 gmc one ton van with original (documented) 27,000 miles. I want to put a different front suspension, rear end under for better handling and driving. Can anyone help me out with suggestions and what can be put under it. I want to be able to lower it and change to 5 lug pattern and make it a daily driver. It is a real dream with dealer installed sliding windows. I have all the original bill of sales and dealer add ons showing the windows installed by dealer. I am open to any and all suggestions. I drive and have drive a 57 chevy 4 dr wagon daily for 14 years and am ready for a new driver. Don't know much about the frames and supension and what can or cannot be switched on these

Your GMC sounds like it's heavy so I wouldn't recommend a MII or Camaro clip. I'd go out and get a one ton GMC or Chevy front for it. I've attached a link and should be applicable to your '59 although the article is for early 50 P.U. Good luck. I'd sure like to see pictures of your van.
