Re: lowest drop w/o notch
A 2/4 drop would work w/o notching the rails for sure. You could possibly do a 4/6 if you didn't load the truck down often. Bolt-in c-sections are pretty easy to install if there's concern (Western Chassis, Bell Tech).

Re: lowest drop w/o notch
Thank you for the fast responce. I am not planing on loading it down with anything sept maybe from time to time but deff not a work truck. Do you think with a 4/6 i would be able to move my GSXR750 around with out damaging anything? The reason i dont want to notch is that i have no means of cutting the frame and i dont want the real lowered look. More after the agressive streetrod stance. Thanks

Re: lowest drop w/o notch
All it takes to cut the frame is a drill (for the corners) & an angle grinder w/a cut-off wheel. You can ususally get an angle grinder cheap on Craigslist or rent one @ a local rent-all place.
The 4/6 drop would be close & likely rub w/a 5-700# load @ speed on dips/bumps in the road surface.

Re: lowest drop w/o notch
how much of the structurel integrity do you lose with the notch? Is it bolt or weld cause i cant weld at all and wouldnt want to learn on my frame.

Re: lowest drop w/o notch
You don't loose any structural integrity. In fact it might actually be stronger at that point due to the bracing built in to a C-notch.

Use the provided GRADE-8 hardware to install the notch that so you know it will be structurally sound. If desired, you can 'practice' your welding skills on the outer edges (if you have the equipment & after getting the basics down on multiple pieces of scrap first).

Re: lowest drop w/o notch
I've made nice clean cuts on a frame with a jigsaw before. Just make sure you have plenty of metal blades. It's not the fastest way, but it is easily controlled.

Re: lowest drop w/o notch
Pretty straight forward install but don't hesitate to seek help if you run into anything. The WC c-notches are round so a sawzall or jigsaw will get you a nice clean cut. I use the notch to make a cardboard template so the material I cut out is nice & consistent from side to side (professional looking).

Re: lowest drop w/o notch
Yeah a small notch like hes talking about will keep the frame strong and you can still use it as a truck.

Re: lowest drop w/o notch
Just make sure when you make your cuts you do not create and sharp corners. This will create a potential stress point that "could" eventually crack.
