Tme for a new tranny... 700r4 questions
I changed the fluid in my TH350 today, it had enough copper in the pan to make a new penny! I noticed the tranny slipping awhile ago...anyway I'm going to go with a 700r4 but what type?? Lock-up, non lock up, computer controlled.... I 've got a carbuerated 71- 3/4 ton long bed. I need some suggestions and some help- I tow my 67 firebird drag car to the track alot so the tranny has to be strong... Thanks for the help

I would suggest doing a search of this site. This topic has been covered a lot. Good luck!

I build my own but if you dont go here...
www.700r4.com Very good heavy duty parts that will hold up to towing. I use a lot of their stuff.

just do it right, get the best one possible and be sure to put it in perfectly. there is no room for errors.. i dont like them for that reason.
when they work they are aswome. but the fail rate on these are way to high.

Also, since you tow or a regular basis, talk to a good tranny rebuilder. These things are not known for living very long when the trailer hitch is used alot.
