67 3/4ton p/u low buck lowering
I have a cherry 67 3/4 ton truck that i damn neer stole. problem is i don't want heavy susp. i want to slam to ground with cool wheels without changin axels & spindles. not goin to pull anything & not concerned with weight. can i put 1/2 ton springs instead of 3/4 springs? Any suggestions on spring hieghts? don't want to drag on every bump. also will newer 3/4 alloy wheels fit old axels?

is it a suburban or pickup? Suburbans have heavy duty coils that you can swap lowering coils in. If it's a pickup it's got leaf springs and you will need to do an axle flip kit or lowering shackles.
1/2 ton swap is easy to do. I did it on my old 72 suburban, hardest part is finding half ton suspension and a half ton axle. |

Re: 67 3/4ton p/u low buck lowering
cutting the front coils and 2" drop blocks will get you started for very cheap. If you want to go lower in the back you can add 1/2 ton drop springs or air bags.
In the front there isn't a whole lot of option without changing spindles. I know ECE makes some drop spindles for 3/4tons that will get you down another 2-1/2" |
