opinon on these wheels

I found these wheels for sell they are 8 lug 17"x8" Dodge 2500 takeoffs.
Any thoughts on how they would look on a square body? It is hard to find a decent 8 lug wheel and I can get these for a decent price.

This is the truck....It will be lowered and have a short bed conversion done sometime in the future.

Re: opinon on these wheels

I think they would look good as long as you could do something about center caps?

Re: opinon on these wheels

I was wondering if the chevy cap might fit, the guy was only asking $200 for all four wheels. But I just called they sold the first day.
I guess I will keep looking

Re: opinon on these wheels

The backspacing would be all wrong for those...they would likely sit in too far, not to mention there is virtually no dish on the outside...something that makes newer rims look crummy on older vehicles IMO.

Re: opinon on these wheels

Anytime an older truck like ours has a newer wheel, the offset is wrong so the wheels are tucked way in under the wheel wells. In contrast, put your wheels on a late model, and they stick way out. Look around for an old truck with new wheels and see if you like the way it looks.

Re: opinon on these wheels

As far as I know, all three truck makers have interchangable wheels. The problem is center caps.

Re: opinon on these wheels

Ford changed to a metric pattern of 8 by 170mm in late '97, I believe.
But as far as I know dodge and chevy are still 8 on 6.5 bolt circle (which is 8 by 165.1mm)

Re: opinon on these wheels

Like others said you don't want those wheels as they would stick in way to far, might even rub drivetrain parts! They would also stick in 2-3in. and look bad.

Are those 2010 Dodge 2500 wheels? Those trucks have only been out like one month.

Re: opinon on these wheels

Ford and Dodge wheels will fit on a GM, but not the other way around. GM uses a smaller hub hole than the others. Aftermarket is fine, had 8 lug wheels on all three and fit no problem.
