Have a quick Th400 ???

I'm going to look a truck tomorrow. The owner said it will not move in any gear until its warm, then it moves/shifts fine. He thinks it needs a fluid/filter change. I'm thinking bad seals/o-rings warming up and sealing. Any thoughts?

A trans guy told me that they call that morning sickness
he said the seals/o-rings are probably dry. Time for a rebuild.
Lucas trans treatment will buy some time but eventually it will need a rebuild.

That is what I'm thinking. It shifts fine,He said its his daily driver. I don't know for sure.

Its a 80' Crew DRW. Its a rock solid truck body wise for this part of the country,But it needs painted. All the chrome molding is gone. The interior is fair. It is worth what he is asking. But were talking about trading for my current DD...Which is worth blue book about a 1k more the his price. I'm looking for a new SUV to be a new DD. So the car will be useless and I would like to have a truck around again. I don't if I want another project.
