It's not mine. We have pretty good drainage where I am, just gotta watch out for those falling trees here.

I'm on a 58 foot bluff - if it gets that high I won't care.

I am at the base of Twin Peaks. I am plenty high. Now my Mustang and other truck are at Bethal Island which is about 10 ft below the Delta.

Re: calif guys ok?

All's well in Ontario- I had to go to Orange county Tuesday and streets were pretty severely flooded in places- I just motored through. I'm just ticked because I can't get out there and work on my trucks.

good thing about a truck that old...... repair water damage in cab, change fluids and shes good as new. I feel sorry for all the people with newer vehicles!

yah but with the way cali is that bluff might slide!....my truck ALMOST looked like that yesterday! For a short time water got up to about 3 inches from the rockers.....I moved it across the street (better drainage) welcome to SoCal winters!

Re: calif guys ok?

Ok in Pasadena, but it's CRANKIN' rain here. I'm not far from Altadena which backs up to the San Gabriel mounains and is experiencing mud slides

Problem (well, sorta!) is I am leaving at O'dark:30 Saturday morning for a week long ski trip in Lake Tahoe. Getting there may be an issue but I'm driving my hugesass '08 Chevy crew cab 4x4 duallie so as long as I can keep it from sliding I should be ok.

Man it was pouring in Santa Clara county....I worked yesterday late in Morgan Hill and got hit by marble sized hail....they even had a tornado warning (?? cali ??)

The 101 freeway by the AlumRock over pass was a lake...closed.

Lot of wrecks...buddy was stuck on 17 for over an hour (mudslide)

Man, I haven't seen this in a while...

Re: calif guys ok?

a small twister went through local Elsinore yesterday, and today I saw animals lining up two by two so who knows. I know we need the water, but living here in SoCal we are spoiled. Last week I was driving my 68 GS with the top down, hopefully next week we'll dry out

Re: calif guys ok?

That storm is headed our way. Expecting over a foot of snow in parts of northern New Mexico. We already have snow on the ground from the two storms that passed earlier this week.

Re: calif guys ok?

I was checking out the CHP traffic site last night ( http://cad.chp.ca.gov/ ) and they were getting black ice on I-8 going east through the mountains. Today there's snow down below 4000' and dropping. The early predictions for next week were for lighter rain Tues thru Thurs but today the news guy scaled that back to just Wed & Thur. So it doesn't appear the next "storm" is going to be anything other than a little bit of "normal" rain for this time of year.

Maybe - but Ive lived in the same neighborhood since 59' and the bluffs are covered with a foot thick blanket of ice plant, and we've never had a slide.

I'll take my chances.

Re: calif guys ok?

There are tornado warnings on TV from the Emergency Broadcast System in my area. A funnel cloud was spotted a few miles to the east of my location (Antioch, Oakley, Brentwood border).

That ain't right.
