1960 GMC 4x4
Just thought i would share some pics and info on a '60 GMC 4x4 I picked up. Has been a local area truck all its life and spent most of it on a ranch. Has a Santa Margarita Lake parking sticker from 1975 on the windshield. Original drive train, v6 4spd 8lug axles. Ad a Vintage pop-up Alaskan Camper, should be a nice combo. Only time will tell to see what ends up of her.

I love this truck... she looks and runs so great as-is, yet still has tons of potential. Military theme is calling!

A Military theme would look good on the truck.

That was the very first thought. Olive Drab paint and a star on the door. Couple gas & water cans, High Lift Jack, shovel and a heavy rope. BAM! Style & Personality
Credit to Calitrukgrl1 for that one.

I'm jealous. I never really wanted a step-side before but seeing this old girl makes me change my mind.
Nice score! Let's see some engine and interior pics!

Fantastic truck! I'm genuinely envious- which doesn't happen often.

Could anyone tell me where a good place to order a new windshield from would be? Thanks.

Re: 1960 GMC 4x4
This website was posted here just a few days ago. They have a pretty good price on the '60-'63 windshields. Check to see if they have a warehouse close to you where you could pick it up. You will have to find someone to install it like maybe a body shop. You might also check with your local auto glass installers and see what they would charge to install your glass, versus what they would charge for theie glass installed. Either way a new rubber would be adviseable.

Re: 1960 GMC 4x4
With yours, mine, Slo Rides, and now KroAutomotiveInc, I think there are four of us '60 GMC's on here now.
Have you updated anything? Do you still have the truck? I see that you haven't been on on a couple of years, but hopefully this message will e-mail you! |

Re: 1960 GMC 4x4
That right there is ALL truck, I hope the OP comes back and tells us more.
Being so close to the ocean I'm surprised we don't see more rust.

Re: 1960 GMC 4x4
I was surprised to see it having the deluxe trim package with chrome grille and bumper, early wide windshield trim and the ultra rare stainless trim around the back of the cab. The rear trim only seems to survive on trucks with campers to protect it.
