79 C-10 door latches

What are you folks using as a replacement latch for your trucks? My latches are just junk, it gets bound up when I lock it, and recently a couple of pieces just broke off. I got these doors off of another truck, wish I had gutted my old doors before I got rid of them... I got a pair of doors for the glass off of an 87 and thought I would see how those latches look.. got them out and they look as bad or worse than what I have!

I see LMC has some replacement ones, and I have street rod buddies that use bear claw latches. Has anyone experimented with any other type of latch? Has anyone used the LMC latches?

I bought GM latches for mine, the only downer is that they're about $200 ea. The LMC units are aftermarket (I called to confirm), so I took a pass on those. You may get lucky on ebay, though.
