Re: rear setups
GREAT to see you are still around on this site I was looking for your old thread from when you first bagged your front end the other day. Looks like you've ditched the flames for primer? I actually like the tire lean.

Re: rear setups
Strange tastes or what?
How low are you going in the rear? Do you plan a c-notch or step notch? Are you considering an AOL or link system? Please buy some spindles before you bag the rear. That looks terrible with that much negative camber considering how low you are.

Re: rear setups
I wouldn't like to drive it like that just if it was parked like lets say at a car show your are all layed out.

Re: rear setups
That is not "all layed out". That is an system that is in dire need of correction. I don't mean to be critical, but a properly lowered truck does not have that much negative camber.

Re: rear setups
To me this truck has the perfect negative camber for me to look at. It may not be correct but I like the way it looks. The camber on the OP's truck is drastic the more I look at it. N2TRUX what causes this extreme negative camber? Besides drop spindles how can the extreme negative camber be avoidied? How does a drop spindle fix this? Is some always to be expected with a bagged set up?
I want to bag the front of my truck so I can be low when I want to be low but lift it up if need be.

Re: rear setups
I think my spindles 2.5 lowering and I still have leen when its laid down, If you want to correct this you need new control arms, and check out your upper ball joint I bet its at a sharp angle to I know mine is.........Heres some pics of my bagged c-notch

Re: rear setups
The cause is a shorter upper control arm. Scott's Hot Rods has just what you need to fix it.

Re: rear setups
Dropped spindles allow the truck to sit lower with less suspension travel. Less travel automatically means less negative camber gain. This does not "solve" the geometry issue, but it means less to overcome.

Re: rear setups
I would like to know more about practical AOL setups for the rear. Some of us have budgets we have to stay in.

Re: rear setups
x2. What do you want to do, lay frame, lay low? What kind of budget, are you looking to make your own system or buy a full kit? I went with a bolt on kit because I am still learning to weld and didn't want to trust my life on a amateur weld. The rear kit is from kp components, that is why we are asking budget this kit was not the cheapest option.
Also about the lean, drop spindles would help some but also modifying the c arms are get new ones would fix it. |

Re: rear setups
well, i dunno getting some ideals on rear setups, some of my buddies have 2 links with pan hard bars ,and i didnt know what i wanted to do, iam on a budget so, and iam not to worried about the tire lean beacuse with a lil corrects the problem ,i cant drive it that low as it sits in the pic because the crossmember is on the ground ..
