Any pictures of trucks with wide stock wheels?
Back in the day it was real popular to run the old wide stock steel wheels with the center caps. I know the wheels cracked a lot, is there anyone on here that still runs them? Anyone have any pictures of trucks with the wide rims? I know they were 8-lug and I want to say they were 9.75x16.5's?

Mine are the widest wheels I've ever had at about 8x16.5.
Front view. Side view.

Re: Any pictures of trucks with wide stock wheels?
I found a truck that I really would like to buy. It has the wide stock wheels. I am still hunting a set for my 80 k20, it is the last pic.

That dark blue truck with the wide wheels is super sharp! I hope you get it bought! Those are the wheels I am talking about, what was the size of them? There has to be a lot of guys that ran them or have pictures...

Re: Any pictures of trucks with wide stock wheels?
The only trucks Ive seen the wider 16.5 rims from the factory was on the rear of mid 70's Ford camper specials. They will fit the Chevy 3/4 tons and the hub caps do fit as well.

Re: Any pictures of trucks with wide stock wheels?
They were real popular around my area back in the day but they were known to crack and guys went through a lot of them, enough that no one can even find a complete set for a truck anymore. I want to say that someone on here found a web-site that sells steel wheels for industrial apps. that was the same lug pattern and back spacing that would work. I wonder if our center caps would fit if so. I would be more then happy to buy a wheel to find out, they are pretty cheap after all.
