A/C help

I'm redoing the A/C in the 77 suburban. I'm installing a system out of an 88. The parts are in better shape and replacements are easier to find. I talked to a local A/C guy and he told me as a standard practice to replace the accumulator and orifice tube. Do I really need to do that? Also, where is the orifice tube in the 88 system? Many thanks, Tom
