Had your 85 book in the back of my mind since we talked a while back, thinking they couldn't have changed that much in one year. And I keep thinking an 85 book is better than no book at all. What keeps me from doing it is that I'd be using it to replace stuff that currently isn't there. The vacuum diagram gives me a online showing all the vacuum related parts, am hoping a shop manual will give me a little more info on where they are suppose to go or how they were mounted. Also, need the layout for everything between the output of the air pump and the air injection tubes on the exhaust manifolds. I know basically what parts are involved and now have most of them, hoping the book will have some diagrams or drawings showing how it goes together, what goes where, etc.

Let me give the post a couple or days to see if an 84 book is out there.... may take you up on that.

By the way, went to your link.... very nice looking truck. I like 'em that way, original and clean, don't care much for the all the modifications. Nothing against them, just not something I'd do to mine. Guess I'm turning into an old fart.

I hear you brother. I like the stock stuff espically when you have to deal with emission laws.
