51-54 wing windows

I think Im just going to keep my wings on my truck but I have some questions.

can I buy the whole assemblies new somewheres? I want the chrome ones, I have a black set here at home, but I'd rather just get everything new. I seen brothers has the wings and gaskets and stuff, but Im looking for everything.

Can I get grey or smoked glass for them? All my other glass is/will be smoked, so I'd want the wings to match.

any help is appreciated, thanks guys.

what color are your frames? I was looking but couldn't figure it out. I have assemblies I'd have to paint, but I wanted chrome. I thinking I might be able to just paint them though and be happy.

Re: 51-54 wing windows

I got the set I have taken apart and sandblasted.

On the drivers side I broke one of the studs off the bottom where the spring is, can these be bought?

and my passengers side window frame has a monster rust hole, so I gotta weld that up I guess. I can't find anyone who sells the painted window frames though to buy new if the price was right.

My divider bars and basically perfect shape.

The only other unsure thing I have is if I can get new pads for the little handles. If not I'll have to send mine out and have them re-chromed.

Re: 51-54 wing windows

where can I get new rivots for the pivot? I drilled it out to separate the window frames from the big bracket like the how-to said to do on here...

Re: 51-54 wing windows

classic parts has them, I found them.

I'm planning on doing a huge write up on rebuilding these things. From fabbing new parts to tracking down all the bits and pieces. Hopefully a moderator will make it a sticky.
