i've been looking at block hugger headers for my 1962 chevy c10 283 and i was wondering if id be able to since the generator bracket bolts to the original exhaust manifold. or if theres a way i could make a mount for the generator.

Try Alan Grove Components. I have had really goodluck with their parts, not sure if they make a bracket for a generator though.
