brake swap donor???
i know i can use 73-87 1/2 ton parts to do a disc brake swap onto my 66 c20, but have had no luck finding those parts locally, the question is can i use a 88-98 silverado parts to do the same thing?? any issues with these? thank you gentlemen.

actually it would be easier to simply remove the entire cross member of a 70 and later truck and bolt it in place. ther will be some difficulty with the Idler arm location as the c20 is different than the c10,
Whay not just do c20 to c20. I did a 63 that way and she was a tank. I put a 454/th400 and a narrowed 14 bolt rear with 4 wheel disc brakes and a hydro boost. Looked totally stock but what amonster |

You should get the whole crossmember if you are switching to the half ton running gear. The 3/4 tons bolt up differntly. When using later model stuff you will have to redrill for the idler arm. If you bolt up the steering box first with the REZ kit it will be easier to get the idler it correct position. It really isn't that hard to do.
