Help Factory Truck Stance Question!!!
According to LMC a truck with stock suspension should measure 32" from the ground to the top of the wheel arch. My dad's truck measures 27" and he does not have dropped spindles. Is it possible to purchase 4" lowered springs? Or could there be another issue that we are not seeing?

Re: Help Factory Truck Stance Question!!!
A shorter tire would do that. Also the springs loose height over time. The more accurate measurement would be from the center of the spindle hub to the wheel opening, but I'm not sure if anyone has that.
Early Classic Enterprises has a nice set of pics of trucks at various ride heights. There's a few pages. http://www.earlyclassic.com/tech.asp...tance%20Photos

Re: Help Factory Truck Stance Question!!!
there could be a two inch, a one inch, a three inch who knows spring that was cut. I think your best bet is to go ahead a measure a factory height spring or ask here if someone has that measurement then measure your dads truck spring and that will give you an idea. I lowered my truck four inches Uusing a spring and spindle comboand with an 18 inch wheel it is right at 27 1/2 inches from the floor to the fender lip.

Re: Help Factory Truck Stance Question!!!
When I took the stock 16" steel rims off my truck for 15" mag wheels and 60 series BFG Radial T/A's... mine dropped almost 3" - 4" from stock at the fender well with just tires and wheels alone. I am going to go lower this spring/summer. But for now, the suspension is bone stock.
Lots of different variables from "stock" height from the factory... even rear spring packages from the factory had rear ends higher or lower depending on the setup. I think LMC is using the 32" as just a guideline/baseline. Gary
